Adam Ainsworth
Don't let his infectious smile mislead you. He is passionate about violin playing and enjoys challenging himself in many genres of violin playing. Whether it be jamming solo for tips at Blaboa Park or in his Jazz band at a dinner club, he will play until his hair comes off his bow. Adam has been a student of the violin for over two decades and sutdied music at UCSD.Currently Adam works at the Hammond Ashley Violin shop where he uses his in depth knowledge to woo potential stringed instrument buyers. He also has multiple students he teaches out of his studio at the shop ranging from beginners to advanced players. He teaches primarily the violin.
Robert Rotzler
Robert Rotzler has been playing, recording, and teaching the violin, viola and mandolin in the Southern Californa area for 40 years. His many credits include the San Diego Youth Symphony (Associate Concertmaster), Chapman College Chamber and Symphony Orchestras (Concertmaster), Orange County Community Orchestra (Co-Concertmaster) and San Diego State Symphony. He is currently the violinist and mandolinist of the nationally award-winning world beat group, the Middle Earth Ensemble.
Adriana Valdez (Blue)
Blue has played in many orchestras/ensables over the past two decades of her cello playing tenure. She does not make the cello her profession, but does play in many groups at an elite level. She has taught numerous students contrary to not making it her primary source of income. When not playing her cello she is teaching the youth of tomorrow at a local elementary school where she is a devoted grade school teacher. She is currently involved with the Grossmont Symphony and satellite groups outside of the University Avenue String Quartet.
Joshua Kaye
Josh is the baby of the group and plays the viola. Like Adam and Blue his early musical influence stemmed from the school system in El Centro; after which he took his experience from the Valley to San Diego where he enjoyed playing in many groups at UCSD and the area. He has played in many orchestras including the IVSO, PCSO, and many ensamble groups. Currenly he is playing in a string quartet with his siblings outside of the University Avenue String Quartet. Aside from playing the viola, Josh makes his career supporting continued education at UCSD Extended Services and Public Programming where he fulfills computer and networking support needs. He also is the main contact point for this site and related media operations.
